Anasazi-7

I had wanted to build a 7-string guitar for a long while and was finally inspired to by this fantastic Anasazi cave painting work I saw. To go with this theme I chose an array of woods with vibrant desert colors and finished them in a satin finish to give them that alive, yet muted, feel the desert can have.

Neck:

  • Wood: Wenge/bubinga/korina laminates that flare out at the heel
  • Fretboard: East Indian rosewood
  • Scale: 25.5"
  • Radius: 16"
  • Nut Width: 1 7/8"
  • Carve: C
  • Headstock: 7-string 4x3 in wenge with goncalo alves wings
  • Inlays: Anasazi cave paintings in turqouise, lapis, and various mother of pearls
  • Tuners: Hipshot open-back locking

Body:

  • Wood: Figured goncalo alves front and back with beeswing makore core
  • Width: 13"
  • Bridge: Kahler hybrid
  • Finish: Satin tru-oil

Electronics:

Custom wound humbuckers each with an independent 3-way mini-toggle controlling series/parallel/coil tap. They then flow into a master 3-way selector, volume, and tone.
