Pink Ivory King
Laugh all you want, but Pink Ivory is our favorite wood; no question, hands down. The fact that wood like this even exists baffles the mind. We wanted to make a guitar that showcased all the beautiful color and figure ranges on this wood to the fullest. Across this showcase you'll see plain, fiddleback, mottled, light pink, dark pink, and everything in between. To make sure that the pink ivory had a canvas to stand out on we used subtly beautiful walnut as the backdrop.
A cool side note is this instrument features an extremely cool nut material that we've been working with Quandrant Plastic on for guitar-based applications. Techtron HPV Bearing-Grade is a self-lubricating composite material that, on this guitar, saw an average 75% improvement in tuning stability in our tests over a standard bone nut!
